The client required daily communication between highly skilled staff members who were segregated between two facilities. Relying on their existing phone system and a simple e-mail solution proved ineffective and cumbersome. Network Architects managed the deployment of and currently oversees the Voice and Unified Communications operations. A Cisco CallManager Express solution was implemented in both offices, with a VoIP backbone—allowing for direct internal 4-digit dialing without incurring toll charges.

The client desired an effective communication solution for mobile veterinary healthcare workers and the remote branch office. Network Architects conducted a network assessment to identify the required upgrades to the data network in order to support the demands of IP Telephony. A detailed design was developed to include upgrades to the perimeter firewall, core switching, internal cabling, and a wireless network. The final solution incorporated Cisco 7921 wireless IP phones, internal 4-digit dialing to IP phones in the branch office, and the optimization of internal processes centered around the broad benefits of a Cisco Unified Communications solution.
