The client needed to comply with regulatory requirements of the Food and Drug Association, Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (FDA 21 CFR Part 11). Network Architects performed a Secure360 network security audit to identify specific areas where vulnerabilities and potential security threats existed—technical and business risks assessments, updated security policies, vulnerability scans reports, Cisco® device configuration audits, configuration guidelines for Cisco routers and server computers.

Network Architects identified thirteen prioritized vulnerabilities depicted in the above chart. Detailed recommendations were delivered in support of four key security needs—mitigating the human element, locking down devices and services, implementing a security response infrastructure, and adopting best practices for encryption. We delivered a thorough 100-page report that provided Executive Management with a clear picture of their security posture, and a definable two-year plan for a phased approach to security remediation.

A regional bank needed to strengthen its security posture for auditing purposes. Network Architects executed a Secure360 network security remediation comprised of Cisco solutions—NAC appliance and the Monitoring, Analysis and Response System (MARS). The MARS solution provided a platform for optimal security visibility, operations, and immediate response to potential security threats. The NAC appliance audited devices connecting to the network and quarantined non-compliant devices. The auditors noted that the overall investment “provided a substantial improvement in security controls over our previous assessment” and “the combination of these two systems provides an excellent defense-in-depth posture and effectively sets a control standard by which other banks should be measured.”

The client needed a security evaluation in support of its HIPAA compliance initiative. They had made several reasonable investments in their security, but the solutions were not part of their larger strategy nor did it provide for a seamless security infrastructure. Network Architects delivered a Secure360 network security assessment that included technical and business risk assessments, updated security policies, vulnerability scans reports, Cisco device configuration audits, configuration guidelines for Cisco routers and server computers. We delivered an extensive 2,000-page report providing their IT staff with a solid foundation for a integrated security architecture— combined with a high-level phased plan approach to incorporate specific security initiatives, and a business rationale to implement the security infrastructure investment.

The client needed to satisfy Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulatory compliance requirements in a very aggressive timeline. Network Architects implemented a Secure360 network security remediation. A Cisco Gold partner had originally deployed a data center for the client, but was unable to provide the necessary PCI compliance and remediation services. Network Architects successfully assessed the weaknesses, develop a game plan, and executed on the security initiatives within the designated deadline.
