Industry: e-Commerce
Company Size: 300 employees

The client wanted to overhaul their primary data center and build out a secondary location. Network Architects had previously provided the long-standing customer with emergency on-call support and network infrastructure upgrades. Network Architects initiated their proprietary Seven Sacred Abilities processes for optimal IT procurement— helping the client to formalize their key buying criteria, develop a technical framework for their next generation data center, and sort through the confusing array of vendors competing for their capital investments.

Network Architects delivered a decision-making infrastructure that brought clarity out of confusion, resulting in the deployment of a consistent architecture throughout the client data centers— incorporating an overall Cisco solution to include a pair of core 6500 switches, perimeter ASA Gigabit Ethernet firewalls, top-of-rack switches, and network analysis services modules (NAMs) for complete network management and efficient troubleshooting.

Industry: e-Commerce
Company Size: 50 employees

The client had tripled its revenue— processing over $1B in on line transactions— since Network Architects began offering Cisco firewall consulting services to them in 2003. Network Architects continues to ensure that the e-Commerce infrastructure meets the Company’s stringent availability, performance and security requirements. A redundant Internet connection was implemented using advanced BGP routing on Cisco 2800 Series Integrated Services Routers.

Network Architects was also instrumental in deploying a Cisco MARS security system—which serves as the cornerstone of the client’s security operations console. The MARS solution identified (4) infected machines, raised alerts to numerous potential security incidents, and continues to serve as the key troubleshooting device.

The client—operating under mortgage compliance regulations—needed to reconstruct their data center. Network Architects led a Secure360 remediation project from design inception through implementation. The plan required network infrastructure and security upgrades in three locations—the primary 24x7 data center, the remote standby data center, and the development and test site.

In addition to core switching, we deployed a Cisco Self-Defending Network with (10) ASA firewalls, (5) CSS 11500 load balancers, a host-based intrusion prevention solution, and the build out of a security management foundation using Cisco Security Manager and MARS. As a follow-on project, Network Architects deployed a network admission control solution in the primary office using a Cisco NAC appliance.

Industry: Internet Marketing
Company Size: 140 employees

The client required a resilient infrastructure that provided high reliability— significant on line revenue streams were dependent upon the availability of the data center services. Network Architects led a robust upgrade that included the initial deployment of (2) Cisco core 6509 switches along with a VPN network built on the 3800 routers. As the client’s needs rapidly grew, we initiated the step-wise upgrade to a larger Supervisor 720 module with a Cisco Application Control Engine (ACE) services module—for load balancing and additional application security functionality. Network Architects recently helped the client with two more Cisco core 6509 switches in a second data center build out.
